# Credits & Quotas

> Understand how AI generation credits, publishing limits, and quotas work across plans.

## Overview

AI Wave uses a quota system to manage resource usage across plans. Each plan includes monthly allowances for AI generations, publishing, and other features.

## Quota Types

### AI Content Generations

Each time an AI agent generates content (social posts, email copy, ad copy), it consumes a content generation credit.

| **Startup**    | 50 generations  |
| **Growth**     | 200 generations |
| **Scale**      | 600 generations |
| **Enterprise** | Unlimited       |

  **What counts as a generation?** A single generation is one request to the Copywriter agent. This could produce multiple social posts for the same campaign in one generation — so one generation often yields 5–10 pieces of content.

### AI Image Generations

AI-generated images for social posts and ads.

### Social Posts

The number of posts published to social media platforms per month.

### Email Sends

The number of emails sent per month.

### Active Campaigns

The number of campaigns that can be running simultaneously.

## Tracking Your Usage

You can view your current usage at any time:

1. Go to **Settings** → **Billing**
2. View the **Usage** section for a breakdown of all quotas
3. Usage resets on the 1st of each month

## What Happens When You Hit a Limit?

* **Content generations** — You'll be prompted to upgrade or wait until the next billing cycle
* **Social posts** — Additional posts are queued and published when your quota resets
* **Email sends** — Remaining emails in a sequence are paused
* **Active campaigns** — You'll need to complete or archive a campaign before creating a new one

  AI Wave will never charge you extra for exceeding limits. When you hit a quota, the feature is paused — not billed additionally.

  If you regularly hit your limits, consider upgrading to the next plan for more capacity and additional features.
